This event will bring together diverse populations from across our 5-state region representing grantees, funders, community leaders, and donors to interrogate what is necessary to create actionable, progressive social change. Across our region, thousands are organizing every day to create progressive social change. But many of them do not have the monetary resources or a large enough network to enact change on a larger scale. In response to this need, SJF is proud to launch our Changemakers Summit which will bring together movement leaders, SJF grantees, philanthropic funders, and SJF’s members to get real on what’s needed to resource movements for progressive power across states and communities. At this event you can expect: --Workshops lead by SJF grantees and community leaders, --Tabling opportunities for partners and funders, --Collectively raising funds for SJF’s new Emerging Justice Grant, --Updates on the state of philanthropy and movement work, especially as it relates to the upcoming election, --And curated space for communal joy for all attendees! This is a special opportunity for SJF to build powerful networks and learning opportunities with community and partners. From small grassroots social justice organizations to high-net worth donors, this event will be a space for base building, fund-shifting, and getting clear on how to democratize philanthropy.
